Información Extra
It is a book in which a parent talks to other parents and in which experience prevails over theory. It is warm and informal in style, and so the reader feels involved and discovers something which he/she has always been very clear about but perhaps has tried to avoid at all cost: the need to make demands, on self and others. In order to teach, the active participation of both teacher and learner are required, and this participation is not achieved without effort.
Without laying down any hard and fast rules or claiming that lofty goals can be achieved with simple recipes, the author stresses the complexity of the task of teaching because each human being is unique. It would be false then, to claim that teaching will be easy if one reads this book. What the author does wish to reiterate is the teaching in possible even when at times our children try to show us the contrary.
